Walk Description

  1. Starting at the Country Car Park on the cliff tops, walk over to the cliff edge to find the footpath – follow it to the right
  2. As you enter the tree line you will need to keep to the left and begin to drop down to Ravine Road
  3. Upon getting to Ravine Road, head left at a diagonal to drop down onto the Promenade
  4. Walk all the way along the promenade until it rejoins the road
  5. Almost immediately upon rejoining the road it will bend severely to the right, at the beginning off this bend on the left is some steps – take these steps to head towards Glen Gardens
  6. At the top of these steps, head into Glen Gardens – the path we’ve mapped is not the one you have to take – so consider this part of the walk to be free form.
  7. Once you’re done in Glen Gardens you need to head down Martins Ravine which you can access by taking the footpath that runs parallel to the children’s playground, and the head left when it forks.
  8. As you walk along it, look for the steps to the left – head down these.
  9. At the bottom, head to the left along Martins Ravine and all the way to the bottom
  10. Follow it as it heads to the left along the Royal Parade
  11. At the end of the parade, head right down the landing and on to the beach
  12. You now want to walk straight on across the beach – which is a fair walk.
  13. At the end of the beach, head right on Filey Brigg – please only go as far as you feel comfortable as it can be treacherous at the best of times.
  14. Retrace your steps back along Filey Brigg, and head along the beach – this time heading up the Cobble Landing which has many boats and shops lining it.
  15. At the end of the Cobble Landing you will find yourself back at Ravine Road – take a right and follow the steps back up to the cliff tops.
  16. Exit out of the treeline at the top and walk back across to the car park.
